This timeless vintage mounting is tijdloos and simple and is set with a lovely cobalt blue fine Ceylon Sapphire, accented on each side by a channel set row of graduated diamonds. The warmth of the geel gold is an amazing contrast with the deep color of the sapphire, and really brings out the bright flashes of royal blue and cobalt. This is the ideal coloring for sapphires; and the closer you get to this medium-deep blue, vibrant and really saturated, almost cobalt blue (also known as “cornflower” blue); the more valuable and rare the stones get. The cushiony-oval cutting on this stone really makes the color pop and sparkle in the light, and still remains a beautiful shape and size to wear every day.
