This tiny knife from Ikeuchi Hamono does not have the standard looking petty shape since it was primarily used for wood carving. However, due to its very pointy tip, and short, single bevel blade (right-handed users only!), it is very handy in the kitchen too. Ideal for carving, decoration and precision cuts.
This Small petty is made of White steel #2 (Shirogami), forged to a hardness of 61-62 HRC. It is intended for experienced knife owners who know how to handle and take care of knives made of White rvs #2, which will develop some patina due to the high amount of carbonmateriaal (C) in their chemical structure.
The handle is made of durable Chestnut wood.
