Rare Purple and Red Tone Sapphire Ring

This substantial mounting makes a great setting for this sapphire! The gem is from Ceylon, a rare aubergine color that is filled with red flash, creating a stone that is nearly burgundy in color. The prongs both secure and protect the stone, and the profile and shape of the ring make it easy to wear. The stone is lifted up high, letting plenty of light to shine through. The diamond accents fill the ring out a little, and make it more versatile – this would work as well as a right hand ring, cocktail piece or birthstone ring!
Like most of our precious gems, we purchased this stone on location, during one of our many buying trips.
